Limb Alignment

There are two ways to adjust alignment:

  1. Loosen saddle screw
  2. Hold bow so you can see butt section of recurve. limb. Check if yoke is equal in distance from the edge of power limb. If not, rap sharply on end of saddle as shown in direction to shift limb on hinge (fig. lO).
  3. Now hold bow with one end on a chair or table string facing up. Keep the end closest to you in your hand (fig. ll).
Visually align string with center of riser, hinge, and outboard limb string groove.
  4. If either limb appears off center grab as shown (fig. 12), one hand on hinge, other hand on opposite side of outboard. Twist end of limb past center position and back toward center (fig. 13), Draw bow a few times. If still not straight, repeat above steps but leave limb overcorrected (rather than back toward center). Now draw bow. If limb finds center, retighten saddle screw. If this procedure does not correct alignment, cables need replacing. *You need to tighten the saddle screw or the alignment will return to the original line.

If after cables are replaced, limb alignment is still not correct, the limb itself must be suspect of twist, and the limb should be returned to the factory to be checked with a test gauge for repair or replacement.
